Ryback discusses the current happenings at WWE

What’s the story?

On the recent episode of “Conversation with the Big Guy”, former WWE superstar, Ryback discussed a host of topics such as the reunion of the Shield, the signing of Shayna Baszler and “The Big Guy” also revealed the cost of his ring gear in WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

Former WWE Intercontinental champion Ryback worked under the WWE banner from the year 2004 to 2016. He was first brought into the company via the reality TV series Tough Enough and then went on to wrestle for WWE’s developmental territories till 2010.

He made his main roster debut in June 2010 as part of the infamous faction called The Nexus. However, Ryback did not have a promising run in the main roster as a singles superstar. The Las Vegas native won five Slammy awards and the Intercontinental championship just once, during his six-year stint on the main roster.

The heart of the matter

On his recent podcast episode, Ryback gave his thoughts on the recent Shield reunion. “The Big Guy” thinks that since their breakup, all three members of the group found a lot of success as singles superstars but he believes that it was the right time for them to get back together.

Ryback also decided to reveal the cost of his ring gear that he used during his WWE run.

During the episode, Ryback received calls from wrestling fans all around the globe and a listener was curious about the total price of his wrestling gear.

The former IC Champion claimed that his singlets were worth a total of $400-500 dollars, including the shipping charges. He also added that his boots cost around $1000 and there were times when he got them airbrushed, which added $200-400 dollars to its value.

The former OVW Heavyweight champion also congratulated Shayna Baszler who recently signed with WWE’s NXT brand and wished her all the best for her training in the performance centre.

What’s next?

Ryback is currently working on the Independent scene and is yet to sign a permanent deal with any major promotion. “The Big Guy” is also the current Rock and Roll wrestling champion in Australia.

Author’s take

Personally, I agree with Ryback regarding The Shield reunion, I believe that he is absolutely right by saying that it was the correct time for Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns to reunite. The reunion of the trio will not only boost WWE’s ratings but also increase a lot of merchandise sale.
