What's the story?

The WWE recently held a three-day tryout at their Florida Performance Centre where more than 30 athletes, including professional indy wrestlers, boxers, NFL players and college grapplers assembled to try and win a spot in WWE developmental. The WWE has released the full list.

In case you didn't know...

Two days ago we got wind that former TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne had attended the WWE Performance Centre, but at the time it was just a rumour as nothing had been confirmed by Rayne or the WWE.

The heart of the matter

The WWE have now released the full list of attendees and amongst them was Madison Rayne's real name, Ashley Lomberger.

She was credited as 'competing nationally under the alias of Madison Rayne' and described as a 'sports-entertainment veteran of more than a decade'. Here's the picture of her looking almost unrecognisable at the tryout.

Some of the other notable names on the list are Taishan Dong, a 7-foot tall boxer from China who remains undefeated and is nicknamed 'The Great Wall', Munraj Sahota, a second generation wrestler who is the son of The Great Gama Singh (who is Jinder Mahal's uncle), and Karen Yu, who has performed as Karen Q for Ring of Honor. You can check out the full list of attendees here.

What's next?

At the moment, the WWE hasn't said whether they will be offering anyone a WWE contract. However, Madison Rayne posted the following cryptic and vague post on Twitter recently which could indicate that the TNA veteran was successful.

Author's take

Some of these competitors look like absolute beasts, the thought of the 7-foot boxer demolishing people in a WWE ring is one that I look forward to and I hope he gets a contract. I also have my fingers crossed for Madison Rayne, it'll be great to see her in the WWE.
