Goldberg had much to say about Bryan's return

What's the story?

Last year, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar tore down the house at WrestleMania 33. This year, Goldberg caught up with TV Insider to discuss among other things, Daniel Bryan's match at WrestleMania 34.

The WWE Hall of Fame inductee spoke from the heart about Bryan's return. We wish to thank Wrestling Inc. for the heads up.

In case you didn't know...

Goldberg was the franchise player of WCW around 98, when wrestling was at its hottest. He had an underwhelming run with WWE in the early 2000s where he left after a barrage of boos at WrestleMania 20, after his disappointing match with Brock Lesnar.

He returned to WWE in 2016 and had a great run the second time around, even winning the Universal Championship for a point of time. He became friends with members of the current roster, during his second WWE run.

The heart of the matter

Someone who knows all about 'second chances', Goldberg spoke about Daniel Bryan's recent comeback:

To be able to persevere and get a second chance, it puts things in perspective. You look at things completely differently than you did the first time. I know that every step along the way, his appreciation will be tenfold. For someone working hard for something, it's extremely rewarding that you can see them succeed and continue that journey. I'm excited to continue on that journey with him.

Goldberg seems to have Daniel Bryan's back as he teams up with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The match will be one of the more anticipated ones in the WrestleMania card.

What's next?

There's a rumour that surfaced about Goldberg possibly being a part of the WrestleMania plans. If so, the pop will be massive. Daniel Bryan certainly will be an integral part of the festivities and we are convinced he will light up the proceedings!

Author's take

Goldberg is known to be a man who speaks from the heart and we can see that his comments are indeed heartfelt. I'm glad he gave Bryan a stamp of approval.

I'd love it if Goldberg were to show up at WrestleMania 34!
