What’s the story?
The WWE has posted a video on its YouTube channel, teasing a potential romance angle between Goldust and Mandy Rose.
Apparently, the segment features Goldust asking Rose out on a dinner date.
In case you didn’t know…
Goldust, whose real name is Dustin Runnels, has been competing in the sport of professional wrestling since 1988.
On the other hand, Rose (Amanda Saccomanno) made her pro-wrestling debut in the WWE back in 2015, after having competed in several bodybuilding, beauty and fitness contests.
The heart of the matter
The WWE recently teased a romance angle between Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss—following up on the same with the following segment featuring the duo after their victory in their MMC (Mixed Match Challenge) matchup—
In hot pursuit of the same, the WWE now seem to be teasing yet another romantic angle, featuring Mandy Rose and Goldust.
The video featuring Rose and Goldust saw the latter get his leg stuck in a chair and hurt himself, before eventually regaining his composure and asking Rose out on a date in typical ‘Bizarre One’ fashion.
Rose agreed that they have a date set this Tuesday night ahead of their MMC match against Jimmy Uso & Naomi, however, Goldust asserted that she misunderstood him and that he was talking about an actual dinner date and not the aforementioned MMC matchup—
What’s next?
Goldust & Mandy Rose compete against Jimmy Uso & Naomi in Week 4 of the WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge. The winner of the MMC tournament shall receive a $100,000 prize—the proceeds of which shall be donated to a charity of their choice.
Should Goldust & Rose win the tournament, the proceeds of their prize money shall go to Hire Heroes USA.

Well, it’d be safe to say that this segment was truly bizarre.
On a side note, the WWE could potentially turn the Mandy Rose-Goldust chemistry into a long-running storyline wherein the latter tries to convert Rose into his former valet and ex-wife Marlena (Terri Runnels)…after all Rose does bear resemblance to Terri.
