WWE News: Goldust praises Mandy Rose, wants her to be his "leading lady" again someday

Rosegold came together by circumstance, but could be a team to reckon with in the future

What's the story?

Tuesday evening didn't go well for Rosegold, the WWE Mixed Match Challenge team of Mandy Rose and Goldust. Even though they lost, Goldust had high praise for Mandy. Looks like this partnership may return sometime in the future.

In case you didn't know...

When Dustin Rhodes first became Goldust, he had a leading lady of his own that managed him in Marlena. She was played by Goldust's actual wife at the time, Terri Runnels. They would work together for nearly two years before the on-screen partnership dissolved.

The heart of the matter

Dasha Fuentes interviewed Rosegold after their match on Tuesday. Take a look at the interview below:

Mandy told Goldust that it was an amazing opportunity to work with him, and Goldust apologized for letting her down. Rose said that he didn't let her down at all.

Goldust said he was looking forward to this pairing because she has something special. He said that she has the 'it' factor and will be huge one day.

At the end of the interview, Goldust asked her to be his leading lady again, and Mandy said that she would love to. Mandy thinks this isn't just a one-off and could be a thing in the future.

Rosegold forever!

What's next?

While it is unknown what the next step for Goldust will be, we do know that Mandy Rose is a participant in the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber match. The pay per view takes place from Paradise, Nevada on February 25th.

Author's take

They only had a week to prepare due to the unfortunate injury to Alicia Fox, but Rosegold gelled immediately in the promo videos, and they worked very well together last night in the Mixed Match Challenge.

The entire match with Naomi and Jimmy Uso was entertaining from start to finish and one of my favorites in the tournament so far.

I have a good feeling that this isn't the end for Rosegold, but only the beginning. There is a lot WWE can do with this pairing.
