WWE News: Interesting update on Seth Rollins' injury and in-ring status

Rollins remembers being a kid and always wanting to point at the sign and go to WrestleMania.

What's the story?

It's believed that Seth Rollins has been suffering from a niggling back injury of late. Naturally, since he won the Royal Rumble and is in one of the two marquee WrestleMania matches, WWE is ensuring to take caution with The Kingslayer, making sure he's fully recovered before the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

We've now got an interesting new update on Seth Rollins' in-ring status heading into WrestleMania 35.

In case you didn't know...

Seth Rollins is poised to have the biggest year of his career in 2019. With Roman Reigns seemingly out of action until 2020 (at the very least), Seth Rollins has been chosen as the guy to take his spot.

He won the Royal Rumble match and is set to take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. He did wrestle against Dean Ambrose on the RAW after Royal Rumble, but after that, he hasn't really appeared on television.

It's likely that WWE is resting Rollins and making sure that he doesn't wrestle until the grandest stage of them all. With two PPVs before WrestleMania, WWE has a bit of a cushion, making sure that he can sit aside while regular programming continues.

The heart of the matter

Thanks to SEScoops, we learned that Seth Rollins has been pulled from all WWE Live Events before WrestleMania 35. While there's always a possibility that he gets added back to the final few live events, it makes sense from WWE's perspective to keep him on the shelf.

We're not yet sure how this is going to affect his appearances on television, but one thing is for sure - he's going to be kept out of any physical action for a while. This could mean more backstage segments, interviews, promos with Paul Heyman, etc.

He's set to appear on RAW this week, reportedly addressing Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar.

What's next?

Seth Rollins isn't advertised for any match at Elimination Chamber. He was advertised for an Intercontinental title match against Bobby Lashley at Fastlane, but since then, he's been replaced by Finn Balor (who's actually feuding with Lashley now).
