What’s the story?

Earlier today, the 25th Annual WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was conducted in New Orleans, Louisiana and as noted, the event was filled with some of the biggest stars of the Pro Wrestling industry, including superstars from the past who have been representing the business for the past few decades and superstars of the modern day generation were present as well.

This year’s WWE Hall of Fame class also saw the induction of former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory, who during her acceptance speech spoke about the Women’s Revolution in the WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

Ivory made her initial WWE (Then known as the WWF) debut back in the year 1999 when she was introduced as the storyline love interest of fellow Hall of Fame inductee, Mark Henry.

During her run with the WWE, Ivory managed to successfully capture the WWE Women’s Championship on three different occasions and was also a part of the heel faction Right to Censor.

In her later years with the WWE, Ivory also served as a trainer for WWE Tough Enough and on the 12th of February, it was announced that Ivory would be inducted into this year’s class of WWE Hall of Fame.

The heart of the matter

During her WWE Hall of Fame acceptance speech, former three-time WWE Women’s Champion Ivory reflected on the Women’s Revolution in the WWE— which initially began in 2015-2016 after the main roster call-ups of former NXT Women’s Champions Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks, along with fellow Horsewomen Becky Lynch.

As noted, during her HOF speech, Ivory mentioned the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Terri Runnels, Gail Kim, Molly Holly, and several other female superstars from the past who have influenced the female stars of today’s generation.

In addition, Ivory also stated that ever since the inception of the Women’s Revolution in the WWE, the company’s Women’s Division has been evolving towards a brighter direction and she is indeed very proud to be a sister to all these amazing women who have worked so hard in order to successfully execute this revolution into an evolution.

What’s next?

The WWE’s Women’s Division just keeps on growing and moving forward and judging by this year’s WrestleMania 34 card, which features a mega-showdown between two of WWE’s very best in Asuka and Charlotte Flair and also the much-awaited in-ring debut of MMA megastar Ronda Rousey, we can be pretty sure of the fact that the Women’s Revolution in the WWE has certainly reached new heights.

It is certainly very amazing to witness the women of WWE come such a long way and the fact that the women are finally getting the deserved spotlight in the company is absolutely amazing to witness.
