WWE News: Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins react to winning the Raw Tag Team Championships

And NEW WWE
And NEW WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins...

What's the story?

A surprising title change closed out Monday Night Raw this week when Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to become the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

Early this morning, both Rollins and Jordan took to Twitter with their reactions, take a look at them below:

In case you didn't know...

The title win last night was the third time that Seth Rollins has captured the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. The first was with Roman Reigns as part of The Shield in May of 2013. Earlier this year, Rollins captured the title for a second time teaming with Dean Ambrose when they defeated The Bar at SummerSlam.

The heart of the matter

Though both Rollins and Jordan wanted a piece of Samoa Joe on Monday Night Raw this week, the General Manager (and father of Jordan) Kurt Angle had other ideas.

Every time Rollins and Jordan get close to Joe, The Bar gets in the way, so instead, Angle put them in a match against The Bar with the tag titles on the line.

The win put Jason Jordan in the record books. He became the first wrestler to win the NXT, SmackDown, and Raw Tag Team Championships.

His two previous tag title reigns were with Chad Gable as part of American Alpha.

What's next?

With the Royal Rumble four weeks away, I fully expect The Bar to exercise their rematch clause then. In the weeks leading up to the Rumble, expect both Jordan and Rollins to finally get a piece of Samoa Joe if Roman Reigns lets them.

Author's take

I was definitely surprised at the title change last night. I thought this could have been the spot to completely turn Jordan heel.

With the whining Jordan was doing lately paired playing the "dad card" to try to get what he wants from Kurt Angle, it seemed like the full turn wasn't far off, but with the injury to Dean Ambrose, something needed to be done, so they paired Jordan with Rollins.

While I would have rather seen Balor team with Rollins and play off the storyline from WWE 24 where they went through injury rehab together, I'm interested in seeing where this goes with Jordan. It could open the door for an Ambrose heel turn upon his return from injury.
