What's the story?

According to a report from WON, Jason Jordan was originally slated to be a part of the upcoming Elimination Chamber match but given the severity of his neck injury, he might be pulled out.

Initially speculated to be a back injury, Jordan is, in fact, suffering from a significant neck injury and has been having trouble with his grip.

In case you didn't know...

Jason Jordan won the Tag Team Titles with partner Seth Rollins not very long ago but the duo lost their recently won Championships to Sheamus and Cesaro at Royal Rumble.

The major reason for this booking decision by the WWE was to protect Jason from taking too many bumps and give him time to recover from his injury.

The heart of the matter

The current shortlisted Superstars for the men's elimination chamber match are John Cena, Braun Strowman, Elias and Seth Rollins, according to WON.

Jason Jordan was expected to be a part of this match and even still may take part in the match given the condition of his injury.

John Cena, Elias and Braun have won their elimination chamber qualifying matches and the remaining three qualifying matches are yet to be held.

What's next?

The Elimination Chamber PPV will be taking place on the 25th of February at T-Mobile arena, Paradise, Nevada.

The event will feature not only a men's elimination chamber but also the first ever women's elimination chamber match.

Whether or not Jason Jordan will be able to compete at the event will have to be seen as the WWE are willing to take no risks to aggravate his injury.

Author's take

Jason Jordan was flourishing in his new character as of late and with his heel turn just around the corner, the injury couldn't have come at a worse time for him.

It was being speculated that WWE are planning a Seth Rollins vs Jason Jordan match at Wrestlemania and I hope he is able to fully recover by that time.
