Jeff Hardy's last Wrestlemania loss came at the hands of his brother Matt

What’s the story?

On a recent edition of WWE Ride Along, Jeff Hardy commented on his Wrestlemania losing streak (0-5).

Speaking of which, Jeff jested about the same with his brother Matt; with the duo expressing their relief on finally breaking the Charismatic Enigma’s ‘Mania losing streak (*with it now standing at 1-5*).

In case you didn’t know…

Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy returned to WWE after a considerably lengthy hiatus, winning the RAW Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania 33 earlier this year.

However, yet another key accomplishment for Jeff, in particular, is the fact that he finally broke his abysmal losing spree on the grandest stage of them all.

The heart of the matter

Jeff Hardy competed and lost in multiple Wrestlemania appearances including ‘Mania 16, 17 with his brother Matt, in Tag Team Championship matches against the Dudley Boys and Edge & Christian.

Besides, that’s not to mention his loss, again with Matt, in the 21-man battle royal to determine the number-1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team titles.

Additionally, Jeff also ended up losing the Money In The Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania 23; following which he was defeated by Matt at the 25th anniversary edition of ‘Mania. Regardless, Jeff finally broke his losing streak at the showcase of the immortals by winning Tag Team gold with Matt at ‘Mania 33.

What’s next?

Jeff Hardy is presently recovering from an injury, while Matt Hardy competes for the WWE’s RAW brand.

Author’s take

It’s great to see Jeff rid the horrible losing streak which had plagued him all these years. 0-5 at Wrestlemania doesn’t have a good ring to it!

Regardless, fast-forward to the here and now, Brother Nero is finally a ‘Mania victor—something he’d hope to continue in the future as well. Here’s hoping we get to see Jeff make his in-ring comeback sooner rather than later.
