WWE News: Jeff Hardy speaks about possible WWE return

Jeff Hardy has been killing it in the ‘Broken’ persona

The Hardy Boyz, particularly Matt, has been the centre of much attention in the pro wrestling world. The “Broken” Matt Hardy gimmick has created much buzz, and The Final Deletion was among the most talked about that TNA has ever been. In fact, it was such a hit that WWE even created their own rendition of it between The New Day and The Wyatt Family. Although, it was not well received.

Jeff Hardy has generally always been the more popular of the two brothers. There has always been the question since his departure in 2009 as to when he will return to WWE. Hardy himself has openly stated that he wants to end his career in WWE and his desire to face The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell match. He has also stated that he would like to main event Wrestlemania, an opportunity he was never afforded during his time with the company. Both Jeff and Matt's contracts expire in February 2017, so the question is, will they return to WWE?

It seems that right now he seems to be focusing solely on TNA. In an interview with SI.com, Jeff Hardy revealed his take on a possible WWE return:

All the WWE stuff really depends on what happens between now and February with TNA. I just went out to Nashville and recorded six songs, and we’re about to open a store that sells original art work, which is going to be huge. If it feels right and good, I don’t see anything wrong with staying.

“When you commit to a WWE contract, you’re committing to some serious time away from home. If it were under my terms, there might be a chance, but I’m really not sure. Of course, it would be nice, but what we’re doing right now is so much fun. I don’t want to go back to WWE and burn out within four or five months, and having another run as TNA world champion would feel just as good.

There are rumours going on currently about WWE purchasing TNA. If WWE does, in fact, go on to purchase TNA, it will be more than likely that it will be more about getting TNA’s library onto the WWE Network. However, there will definitely be some talents from TNA grabbed by WWE, either on the main roster or for NXT. Jeff and Matt Hardy will undoubtedly be among those names, apart from the likes of Drew Galloway, Ethan Carter III, Mike Bennet.
