As first reported by NBC Sports earlier today, six-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

Jeff Jarrett’s first involvement with the WWE (then known as WWF) began way back in 1992 when he participated in the kick-off to the first cross-promotional angle between the WWF and the USWA. During the initial years of his wrestling career, “Double J” also competed with and against the likes of several WWE Hall of Famers such as Jerry “The King” Lawler and Nick Bockwinkel. Jarrett’s first major rivalry in the WWE was against the legendary Razor Ramon aka Scott Hall, as back in the day, both men engaged in a heated rivalry against each other that went back-and-forth over the WWE Intercontinental Title.

However, despite being considered as one of the most controversial and problematic superstars off-screen, Jeff Jarrett definitely did have a huge impact on the entire wrestling business as he managed to accomplish several achievements for various wrestling promotions around the globe, including WCW and TNA/Impact Wrestling. Nonetheless, none of those achievements are as big as Jarrett’s latest accomplishment, which is to finally solidify his rightful place in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame.

As aforementioned, the news of Jeff Jarrett’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame was first broken by NBC Sports and in the latest interview with NBC, Jarrett stated that he would never have dreamed of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018, but, “Double J” believes that some things are just meant to happen.

“I would have never dreamed that in 2018 I’d be going into the Hall of Fame. But as I’ve sat back and looked I said, ‘Welp, I guess there are some things that are just meant to be.”- Jeff Jarrett stated while speaking with NBC.

Additionally, WWE themselves have also confirmed on the social media that come 6th April 2018, Jeff Jarrett will indeed join the likes of Bill Goldberg, Ivory, and The Dudley Boyz in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
