The legendary WWE announcer had an interesting take on his blog

What's the story?

Jim Ross' blog is a place where he discusses affairs pertaining to the world of wrestling, both good and bad. This time, he weighed in on Paige's unfortunate injury and Goldberg's WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Good Ol' JR would have nothing but praise for Goldberg, but also had an interesting take on Paige's WWE future. You can check out the entire blog, at this location.

In case you didn't know...

News surfaced recently that an unfortunate injury at a WWE Live Event had ended Paige's career for good, and that she would have to retire from the ring at the age of 25.

As for Goldberg, things were far more positive on that front, considering that he was named as the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018.

Jim Ross had quite insightful takes on them both.

The heart of the matter

With regard to Paige, Ross felt that this is not the end of the line for the Brit:

Saddened to read of Paige's neck injury is apparently going to take her out of the ring for good. I was happy to see Paige on RAW Monday night and I know that she can remain a viable figure in the @WWE if she chooses to invest in herself and in the next skill sets that she will need to refine.

As for Goldberg, Ross was thrilled for his comrade:

Really happy for my Oklahoma friend, Bill Goldberg, for his upcoming induction into the 2018 Hall of Fame class. Good things often times do happen to good people and things weren't always easy for @Goldberg in WWE but it was made up for in triplicate with Bill's last run versus Brock Lesnar.

What's next?

Jim Ross will be around at RAW 25 next week. As he should be, because he was the voice of RAW's most popular era. We hope he gets to call the action too.

Author's take

I echo Jim Ross' opinion on both accounts, very honestly. Yes, I think Paige could have a great career, as part of WWE (maybe as a future GM?), just not necessarily in the ring.

I've always been a Goldberg fan and couldn't be any more thrilled to see him return for another run.
