WWE News: Jim Ross on AJ Styles vs Finn Balor, which match will steal the show at Survivor Series

Good O;'
Good Ol' JR weighed in on the latest happenings in WWE

What's the story?

On his latest post on his blog, Good Ol' JR Jim Ross weighed in on the latest PPV happenings in WWE, including the dream match between Finn Balor and AJ Styles and also which match he firmly believes will steal the show at Survivor Series.

In case you didn't know...

AJ Styles and Finn Balor had a dream match at TLC. It delivered in a big way, with the two stealing the show that night. It capped off with the two former Bullet Club members giving each other a "too sweet".

As for Survivor Series, the theme like last year is RAW vs SmackDown Live. However, this time around, the champions from each brand are facing each other. Natalya is facing Alexa Bliss, Baron Corbin is facing The Miz, Jinder Mahal is facing Brock Lesnar and The Usos will be taking on Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose.

The heart of the matter

Regarding the dream match between Finn Balor and AJ Styles, the WWE Hall Of Famer had the following to say(H/T credits WrestlingInc):

Enjoyed watching WWE TLC on the WWE Network from my home in Norman. The last two bouts were, as they were designed to be, the proper show closers. AJ vs. 'The Demon' was the best match of the night and one that I am somewhat sure that we will see again someday, as it's simply too good to not feature again when it can receive a more structured and timely creative build.

The former WWE commentator also revealed that he believes Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs The Usos will steal the show at Survivor Series:

I fully expect that match to blow most of the card away, no matter what else is booked. You heard it here first. Those two teams have the ability to re-create the tag team scene in WWE and make tag team wrestling as in vogue as WWE has done with the women grapplers.

It's hard to disagree with JR in that the tag team champions will steal the show. Both teams have been putting on consistently great matches in the recent months and have given fans full confidence that they will steal the show.

What's next?

WWE will continue its interesting build to Survivor Series. It was Shane McMahon and SmackDown Live who took the first shot in the inter-brand war. RAW is bound to strike back. But when is the question.

Author's take

Wholeheartedly agree with Jim Ross in both regards. However, one could argue that the traditional Survivor Series match between the men could very well steal the show. After all, Randy Orton is in it, and he is practically Mr Survivor Series!
