WWE News: Jim Ross predicts winner of Goldberg-Brock Lesnar fight, talks Undertaker's return

Jim Ross thinks Brock Lesnar may beat Goldberg at the Survivor Series

The main event of the 30th Survivor Series, which will take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto tonight, is set to be an epic one as a returning Goldberg takes on the man whom he beat before leaving the WWE in 2004, Brock Lesnar.

There has been a lot of speculation around what the result of the match may turn out to be, particularly considering the fact that ‘The Myth’ will be hitting the ring for the first time in more than 12 years. Iconic former WWE commentator Jim Ross wrote in his latest blog on Jrsbarbq.com about who he thinks may win the encounter.

According to Ross, Lesnar will emerge the winner tonight and the fight is going to be a physical one with lots of MMA influence. He has also predicted that it would take ‘the Beast Incarnate’ nearly 15 minutes to put Goldberg’s challenge to rest.

He wrote, “FYI...I've got Lesnar winning Sunday night on @WWENetwork from Toronto in a straightforward, physical bout with ample strikes and MMA influence. This match could easily fit into a 15-minute bell to bell window or so I'm thinking.”

Jim Ross has been a veteran in the business and knows the WWE inside out so we can expect that his prediction may well turn out to be true. However, Goldberg’s enormous fanbase will be hoping to see their hero put up a great fight, irrespective of the result.

One of the issues that Good Ol’ J.R. also brought up in his blog was the possibility of The Undertaker returning to in-ring action. He opined that since ‘The Deadman’ was still recovering from a procedure he went through for his chronic hip ailment, he may not see much action due to it but also wished at the same time that his words are proved wrong.

“Great seeing Undertaker on the 900th episode of SD Live Tuesday night. The Deadman is still rehabbing a hip, procedure that he recently underwent to address a chronic, hip ailment. As much as I'd love to see Taker back in the ring more, I don't see that happening but I'm certainly prepared to say I'm was wrong,” Ross mentioned in his blog.

“Certainly Taker could be effectively worked into various storylines as a reoccurring character which adds additional star power to the SD Live presentation,” added Jim Ross about ‘the Phenom’.
