The case was re-opened recently and Jimmy Snuka appeared in the courtroom for the trial. Wrestlinginc.com reports that Jimmy Snuka’s attorneys pleaded that Snuka is in no condition to stand the trial. They stated that the head injuries sustained by the former WWE Hall of Famer during his wrestling career has left him in unable undergo the emotional trauma a trial may impose upon him. They also stated that Snuka is unable recollect many of his memories from the past.

As a proof of those injuries, the infamous Piper’s Pit segment in which Piper breaks a coconut on Snuka’s head was shown. The defense attorneys argued that Snuka had not claimed of this inadequacy to recollect memories and his corresponding medical conditions before the case was reopened. In defense, Snuka’s lawyers had shown proof of how his reflexes where not what they where and how he is moving slowly that he used to the courtroom.

Though the hearing lasted for four hours, the court informed that the hearing will continue on Wednesday when more witnesses will be called upon. It is to be noted that earlier Snuka used the Fifth Amendment and refused to answer any questions when the judge wanted to hear from Snuka. He did not testify before the grand jury either. If the judge finds Snuka is mentally unfit to stand the trial, the case may end up being stalled indefinitely.
