What's the story?

While recently speaking with Natalya Neidhart for the Calgary Sun, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal spoke about his experience at WrestleMania 34 and also revealed which Raw Superstar he wants to have a match against.

In case you didn't know...

Since returning to the WWE in 2016, Jinder Mahal has had one of the most formidable runs in the company as he won the WWE Championship in 2017.

During his tenure as WWE Champion, Mahal had the chance and privilege of sharing the ring with the likes of Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, the latter of whom 'The Modern Day Maharaja' eventually lost the WWE Title to.

The heart of the matter

While interacting with his fellow WWE Superstar Natalya, Jinder Mahal noted that WrestleMania 34 was a huge moment for him both personally and professionally, due to finally being able to get his 'WrestleMania moment' for the very first time, when he captured the United States Championship in a fatal four-way match.

"Wrestlemania 34 was a huge moment for me both professionally and personally. Although I've been part of WrestleMania in the past, I felt like I hadn't yet had a 'Wrestlemania Moment,' and this year's event definitely gave me that career-defining moment. However, my ultimate goal is to main-event WrestleMania!"

Additionally, the former WWE Champion also claimed that as of right now, his dream opponent on Monday Night Raw is none other than current WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, with whom Mahal has some unfinished business with from 2012. Six years ago, Rollins defeated 'The Modern Day Maharaja' to become the inaugural NXT Champion.

What's next?

Jinder Mahal will get a rematch for the WWE United States Championship later this weekend in Saudi Arabia at the Greatest Royal Rumble, when he goes toe-to-toe with Jeff Hardy.

Author's take

Personally, I'm all in for a match between Jinder Mahal and Seth Rollins on the main roster and it could potentially be a really solid match, I feel, with the Intercontinental Title being on the line as well.
