Jinder Mahal to officially challenge Brock Lesnar on SmackDown LIVE?
Jinder Mahal to officially challenge Brock Lesnar on SmackDown LIVE?

What's the story?

On his recent press tour of India, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal made several allusions to wanting to wrestle against Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and others.

And now, thanks to an announcement for the October 17th SmackDown LIVE on Monday Night Raw, it looks like we could be seeing Mahal face at least one of those men at Survivor Series.

In case you didn't know...

There were recent rumours suggesting that Jinder Mahal would be wrestling in a champion vs champion match at Survivor Series, which would, of course, put him in a direct collision path with "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar.

The heart of the matter

During Monday Night Raw this week, they teased what was coming up on the October 17th SmackDown Live and announced that Jinder Mahal, "The Modern Day Maharaja", would be making a 'special challenge for Survivor Series'.

If the rumours are to be believed this will be Jinder Mahal challenging Brock Lesnar. However, we do not know if this will be will be a 1vs1 match, or a traditional Survivor Series match.

What's next?

We'll have to wait and see what actually happens on SmackDown LIVE but it does seem that the Jinder Mahal vs Brock Lesnar match is looking more and more likely. What else could a 'special challenge for Survivor Series' mean?

Authors take

I still think putting these two in a match is a terrible idea as there's no way the WWE can come out of it without making one of their two top champions look weak, and we all know it's not going to be Brock Lesnar after months of storyline build up.
