What’s the story?

In an interview with Al Arabiya English, John Cena opened up on a myriad of topics.

Regarding his Wrestlemania 34 opponent, Cena insinuated that he’d face anyone. Besides, Cena spoke about how he’s grown to be comfortable in acting over the years, and also revealed how dealing with adversity the WWE Universe throws at him has helped him grow mentally.

In case you didn’t know…

John Cena broke through into the big leagues of the WWE back in the early-2000s, and has been one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling and the face of the WWE ever since; until Roman Reigns took over that role from him recently.

Cena now works a part-time schedule in the WWE, and has a blossoming Hollywood career, with several movie, television and reality show projects at hand.

The heart of the matter

John Cena stated the following regarding his Wrestlemania 34 opponent—

"Aw, I'm never in the picking business, man. I might have mentioned that on Edge and Christian's podcast. Don't play Vince, if you're not Vince. The best way to love what you do in that respect is to say, hey, here's what's going to happen, and then say, 'Hey, I'm going to make this effin' awesome.'"

Furthermore, Cena elucidated that his acting career first started when the WWE encouraged him to star in WWE Studios productions in the mid-2000s, and although he’s always preferred performing in front of a live audience, he’s now also come to value the art of acting in say a movie or TV presentation.

Additionally, Cena explained that the negative reactions directed towards him by the WWE Universe day in and day out over the past few years, have in fact helped him develop a great level of mental fortitude, in the sense that he isn’t ashamed of putting his real life out there for the fans and/or fellow WWE Superstars to judge. Cena continued that he isn’t too obsessed with a certain rigid formula for success, but rather prefers living in the moment and making the most of it.

What’s next?

John Cena’s latest animated movie Ferdinand has received considerable praise worldwide, and the WWE icon is being lauded for his work in the same.

Cena will return on the special Christmas edition of Monday Night RAW on December 25th. Fans can avail further details about Cena’s other scheduled WWE appearances right HERE.
