John Cena

What's the story?

WWE have confirmed that John Cena will indeed be coming back to RAW for the Christmas edition of RAW airing next week from Chicago.

In case you didn't know...

WWE is holding a special episode on the 25th of December as a celebration of the Christmas event. WWE had advertised huge names to appear on the show including Kurt Angle, Roman Reigns, Kane and The Miz.

Another huge name advertise for the event was John Cena and with the official statement from the WWE, it seems that the leader of Cenation is definitely going to be there.

John Cena was last seen in the WWE ring at Survivor Series where he represented team Smackdown even though he is a "free agent".

Cena was involved in a feud with Roman Reigns prior to that and was a regular feature on RAW for a brief period of time.

The heart of the matter

Although John Cena is extremely busy with his work schedule, he has always managed to take out time to appear for special events.

John Cena was part of the recently released animated movie - Ferdinand, which has not fared that well at the box-office.

The Christmas edition of RAW is always a special episode and the WWE try to make it as grand as possible; having John Cena there would certainly help towards that goal.

What's next?

Although it's official that Cena will be making a comeback, it isn't clear if he will be sticking around for the upcoming RAW's or will it be just a one-off appearance.

Many speculated that Cena will be answering Roman Reigns IC open challenge and we will get to see a rematch of their No Mercy Clash.

Author's take

It is always great to see John Cena return to action as he brings with him a certain excitement and big-time feel. Plus, it is a smart strategy to have such a huge name at the event to boost ticket sales.
