What is Cena's big news?
What is Cena's big news?

What's the story?

John Cena has already announced that he'll be competing in this year's Royal Rumble match, but the announcements aren't stopping there as WWE's hottest free agent has taken to Twitter to tease something huge.

In case you didn't know...

As I've already mentioned John Cena has already made a pretty big announcement this year by announcing his entry into the men's Royal Rumble match, a match in which Cena is widely regarded as one of, if not the favourite.

The heart of the matter

Given that there was a swirl of speculation surrounding what John Cena will be doing at the RAW 25th Anniversary show, or who his opponent will be at Wrestlemania there's a strong chance his announcement could be pertaining to either of these.

However, given that Cena has just finished the press rounds for 'Ferdinand' and has a new film called 'Blockers' coming out soon, it could be that the announcement is about one of the WWE Superstar's many career pursuits outside of the world of wrestling. Either way, a big announcement from John Cena is always something worth getting excited about.

Twitter reacts

As always when a WWE Superstar teases something big, the Twitter users of the WWE Universe have offered their speculation on what exactly John Cena will be announcing.

Okay, so it's unlikely to be that last one. But what's the point of being WWE's hottest free agent if you can't appear in the odd mega-show being held by a rival company every now and then?

Author's take

The more I think about it the more I think this isn't going to be a WWE related announcement that John Cena is teasing here, with RAW 25 likely to be the place where the question of Cena's Wrestlemania opponent is answered.
