What's the story?

WWE just made a massive announcement regarding the Greatest Royal Rumble event to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 27th Apri, 2018 at the King Abdullah Sports City. WWE has officially announced that John Cena will face Triple H at the event.

In case you didn't know...

The Greatest Royal Rumble will feature a 50-man Royal Rumble match. Further details for the card are now coming out with WWE announcing that John Cena will face Triple H at the event.

Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, it is expected that the Greatest Royal Rumble event will be shown live on the WWE Network for fans around the world.

The heart of the matter

John Cena vs Triple H is now official for the Greatest Royal Rumble.

The last time Cena and Triple H faced off in a singles match was 2010 on an episode of RAW.

What's next?

Cena and Triple H may be facing off in late April but they both have big WrestleMania matches coming before that. Cena will probably be facing Undertaker at Mania while Triple H teams up with his wife Stephanie McMahon to take on the team of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey.

Author's take

If we didn't already know how big and important an event this was for WWE before this, the announcement of the Cena and Triple H's match confirms it.

This will surely be one hell of an event and we can't wait to see who will win the first ever Greatest Royal Rumble. It remains to be seen if this will just be a one-time event or an annual event like Wrestlemania or the other PPVs which are available on the WWE network.
