WWE Superstar Kane aka Glenn Jacobs has released his first official video, promoting his Knox County mayoral campaign on the official Jacobs for Mayor website.
In case you didn’t know...
Kane, who’s real name is Glenn Jacobs, has been on a hiatus from the squared-circle for a few months now. He announced in March of this year that he’ll be running for Mayor of Knox County in his home state of Tennessee.
The heart of the matter:
The 25-year pro-wrestling veteran will be running for Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee as a Republican. Here are the excerpts from his promotional video-
“Hi, my name is Glenn Jacobs and I’m running for mayor of Knox County, here in the great state of Tennessee. In my career, I’ve been blessed to travel all over the world and see all the great communities that our country has to offer. But in my opinion, Knox County is the best place to live, work and raise a family. Twenty-two years ago, I met the love of my life, here in East Tennessee. We decided to make this place our home and to raise our family here. Everyday I’m thankful that we made that decision.”
“As your mayor, I will work with local businesses to make sure that they have everything they need to succeed. I will work with the great teachers and administrators, to make sure that Knox County schools produce a competitive, world-class workforce that will attract new businesses and create jobs. I will work to make sure that government remains open and transparent, so that every citizen in Knox County has a voice in the mayor’s office.
And I will fight, to keep government small, and to keep our taxes low. President Reagan once called America ‘The shining city on a hill’. Let’s make Knox County an example of what that ‘shining city’ looks like. Together, we can, and we will make Knox County the standard bearer for the rest of Tennessee and the entire South-East. Thank you.”
