What’s the story?
WWE Superstar Kane was recently on Edge and Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness. In the episode, Kane stated that Seth Rollins is the second coming of the “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels.
In case you didn’t know...
In March of 2017, Kane announced that he would be running a mayoral campaign for Knox County, Tennessee. He owns an Allstate insurance agency nearby in Knoxville with his wife.
The heart of the matter
Kane would expand on his comments on the podcast with this quote below:
“I am a huge Seth Rollins fan. Anyone that has ever been in the ring with Seth, (can see) he really is the second-coming of Shawn Michaels… He is that good.”
For being in the wrestling business for 25 years, Kane has seen some of the greatest the sport has to offer. After various failed gimmicks, Kane debuted at the birth of the Attitude Era that included wrestlers such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Undertaker.
What’s next?
The term of current Knox County mayor Tim Burchett ends in 2018, so Kane’s campaign still has over a year to go before the election. On the other hand, Rollins will get the chance to compete in a Fatal-5-Way match at Extreme Rules on June 4th for a chance to face WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WWE Great Balls Of Fire.

Kane is one of the most intelligent people in pro-wrestling, so I would completely respect the high praise he gave Rollins. I fully agree with the opinion as well.
Rollins’ in-ring work speaks for itself, much like it did for Michaels. Kane is spot on with this comment.
