WWE News:  Kenny Omega discusses Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE run

Two of the best
Two of the best wrestlers in the world in Kenny Omega and Shinsuke Nakamura...

What's the story?

Kenny Omega was recently interviewed by Justin Barrasso from Sports Illustrated when they talked about his upcoming match with Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12 as well as Shinsuke Nakamura's run in the WWE.

In case you didn't know

As odd as it may seem, Kenny Omega and Shinsuke Nakamura have only clashed in New Japan Pro Wrestling twice and both times were tag matches. The last one was at the NJPW New Year Dash when Omega and AJ Styles defeated Nakamura and Yoshi-Hashi.

The heart of the matter...

When talking about Nakamura in the WWE, Kenny Omega is happy Shinsuke is receiving the response he's getting from the WWE Universe. He also said that everyone in New Japan Pro Wrestling knew he'd get over with the charisma he has.

Omega also stated that in the time Nakamura has been in the WWE, he hasn't done anything compelling in the ring. He would expand on those thoughts by saying it is a shame The King Of Strong Styles hasn't been given the chance to showcase his true abilities in WWE.

But when I see Nakamura in WWE, it's hard for me to say he's done anything compelling in-ring since he's been there, which is a shame. It will just take the one right story and the one right moment and then people will be captivated by everything that he does. Right now, he hasn't had that."

What's next?

Kenny Omega will clash with Chris Jericho for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12 which takes place in Tokyo, Japan on January 4th.

As for Shinsuke Nakamura, the jury is still really out on him because there are a couple ways WWE could go with The King Of Strong Style at this point.

Author's take

In my opinion, Nakamura is going to win the Royal Rumble. Then the one moment that Omega is talking about could happen for Nakamura with AJ Styles at WrestleMania.

Styles and Nakamura are two men who would have full control over their match and have the ability to let loose. If my prediction is right, we could see a WrestleMania match that rivals the best of them such as Undertaker and Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania XXV.
