WWE News: Kevin Owens pulled from live events due to injury

<p>
That's a bad news for all the KO fans

What’s the Story?

Well, injuries are the big story in WWE right now, and it looks like another top talent could be facing some time on the sidelines with Kevin Owens being pulled from two live events this weekend due to a persistent injury.

In case you didn’t know...

The grueling schedule seems to be taking its toll on the WWE roster again with injuries keeping Jason Jordan out of action at the moment - not to mention the ever persistent story surround career-threatening injuries to Paige and Sheamus.

The heart of the matter

WWE ran two SmackDown Live events during the weekend where Kevin Owens had been scheduled to appear - not surprising as he's one of SmackDown's top talents right now - but an injury kept him off the card with no news whether he will appear on SmackDown later tonight. The reports suggested that he will probably not take part in any physicality if he appears.

Owens missed the shows in Hidalgo, Texas on Sunday and Corpus Christi on Monday. Owens did appear at the first night in Hidalgo on the 13th, missing the second on the 14th which would lead us to believe he was pulled completely to assess the injury further having obviously travelled to be in town for the first live event.

PW Insider is currently reporting that it isn't a serious issue and Owens was just pulled so they could make sure he’s healthy for the Royal Rumble where he is scheduled to team with Sami Zayn to face AJ Styles in a handicap match.

What’s Next?

Well, while Owens is an incredible in-ring talent, it isn't too difficult to protect him from physicality in his current role. KO is one of the best talkers in WWE and his character definitely would allow him to show up tonight, cut a promo and not have to bump.

Sami Zayn will undoubtedly be by his side and could take any physicality to allow Owens to escape if WWE feels they need physicality to build the story.

Needless to say, we won't need to wait too long to see if Kevin Owens appears.

Author’s Take

It's never nice to see injuries and they do tend to have a habit of rearing their ugly head whenever winter hits and we get onto the road to WrestleMania. We wish KO all the best in his recovery.
