Following Daniel Bryan’s massive announcement regarding the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, former Universal Champion Kevin Owens decided to give his thoughts on Bryan’s announcement via his official Twitter handle.
In case you didn’t know…
In these past two weeks, the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have both earned a singles victory over current WWE Champion AJ Styles. Following Zayn’s victory over AJ on this week’s Smackdown Live, General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that Styles will defend his WWE Title in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Zayn and Owens at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
The heart of the matter
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn both now have the opportunity of winning the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble and earlier in the week, Owens decided to take it to Twitter and reveal his reactions towards his title match later this month.
Owens as usual once again decided to criticize Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon for his actions on Smackdown Live via his tweet. However, “The Prizefighter” also stated that GM Daniel Bryan is a normal person who understands the kind of Zayn and Owens and has recognized their talent as well. Owens would end the tweet by thanking Bryan and claiming that he will be the next WWE Champion.
What’s next?
The Royal Rumble pay-per-view will take place on January 28, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and AJ Styles will have to see through the most difficult challenge thrown at him till date as he prepares to defend his WWE Title against two of the top stars in the current WWE roster in Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Owens and Zayn are former NXT Champions and Owens is also a former Universal, US and Intercontinental Champion in the WWE and there is absolutely no doubt that luck favors the duo of the former Ring of Honor stars in their upcoming title match and AJ Styles will have to put up yet another phenomenal performance in order to retain the WWE Title.
