WWE prides itself as a sports entertainment organization. WWE Superstars have always had an intimate relationship with the entertainment industry. From appearing in cameo roles to being the main star of the film, they have done everything. There could be no great example than the rise of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to super-stardom. Looks like another two names will be added to the long list of WWE Superstars appearing in movies.
The Rated R Superstar Edge, who has retired from active wrestling in 2011, and the Ravishing Russian Lana will star in a new movie named Interrogation.The film will be produced by WWE Studios itself. Though the release date has not been confirmed yet, we can expect to see both Edge and Lana on big screen soon.
It is to be noted that WWE signed a deal with Wesley Snipes to produce three movies under the banner of WWE Studios. It looks like WWE is looking to expand its horizon and step its feet in the lucrative movie industry. Will this venture be a success? Only time can tell.
