WWE News: WWE Hall of Famer hints at joining the Hardy Boyz

More nostalgia for the masses?

What's the story?

During a Q & A session in Paris, Lita left the door for a potential Team Xtreme reunion. The WWE Hall of Famer said that she'd be open to working alongside the Hardyz as a "one night only attraction."

In case you didn't know...

Team Xtreme, consisting of The Hardy Boyz and Lita, performed together from 2000 to 2002. During this run, the Hardyz had excellent triple-threat Ladder and TLC matches with the Dudley Boys as well as Edge and Christian. Meanwhile, Lita carved out a niche for herself as a high-flyer and had her first run as Women's Champion.

The heart of the matter

During the Q & A, Lita said that there was no Team Xtreme without her. " All I want to say is keep your eyes open if you see a third member with whomever the Hardyz are facing. If there's someone interfering and messing around with them and there needs to be an equaliser for a potential "one night only attraction", I think that would be a lot of fun," she added.

Lita also said that it was an honour for her to commentate on the Mae Young Classic alongside the legendary Jim Ross.

What's next?

Jeff Hardy just underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff, and he might not return until the new year. Reports also suggest that the former Tag Team Champions may portray characters resembling the Broken Hardyz on his return, which means that a Team Xtreme reunion isn't on the cards.

Author's take

The Attitude Era is the most romanticised period in professional wrestling, and nostalgia acts from the period always seem to make an impact, when served in the right doses. There is no question that a Team Xtreme reunion would be a tremendous one night only attraction if promoted properly.
