WWE News:  Mark Henry is the latest inductee for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class

The Hall o
Mark Henry provided a lot of memories over his 20+ years with the WWE...

What's the story?

The Hall of Fame meets the Hall of Pain as the WWE announced on Monday morning that "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry will join the 2018 class in the WWE Hall of Fame.

In case you didn't know...

Mark Henry was a world-class powerlifter before joining the WWE. He took first prize in the 2002 Arnold Strongman Classic, a competition created by fellow WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The heart of the matter...

Henry will join Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, the celebrity wing inductee Kid Rock, and the Warrior Award recipient Jarrius "JJ" Robertson in New Orleans for the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony on Friday, April 6th.

Mark Henry joined the WWE in 1996, but it wasn't until he joined the Nation of Domination in 1998 when his career would take off. He would be a part of the World Championship picture in 2005, but it wasn't until Night Of Champions in 2008 when he would win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

He also won WWE's World Heavyweight Championship in 2011 when he defeated Randy Orton at Night Of Champions.

One of the more memorable moments in Henry's career came on a June 2013 edition of Monday Night Raw where he seemingly was there to announce his retirement only to attack John Cena by surprise and challenge him for the WWE Championship.

What's next?

Monday Night Raw takes place from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas tonight. Expect a video package highlighting the career of Mark Henry to air during this episode that will also feature the Ultimate Deletion from the Hardy Compound.

Author's take...

There was no question that "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry would be in the WWE Hall of Fame someday, it was just a matter of time. He has entertained the WWE Universe for over 20 years and certainly deserves this honor.
