What's the story?

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been confirmed for this year's WrestleMania event and the match is beginning to shape up since Matt Hardy confirmed his place in the match this week on Raw.

In case you didn't know...

The fifth annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place at this year's WrestleMania and the likes of Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Tye Dillinger and Baron Corbin have already confirmed their places.

This year's match is just days before the HBO documentary about Andre The Giant is released. Since this year marks 25 years since the death of the WWE Hall of Famer, the match will have much more riding on it than previous years.

The heart of the matter

The field for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is shaping up with the addition of Matt Hardy. It seems that his new persona has pushed him to a new level in WWE, and after defeating Bray Wyatt in the Ultimate Deletion, he could be set to open up a new feud.

Right now, it seems that Hardy could be the most high profile addition to the match, but with only two weeks to go until WrestleMania, there will be many more names added in the coming days.

What's next?

Matt Hardy will join a number of other superstars in the fifth annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal next Sunday night at WrestleMania.

Author's take

Matt Hardy is definitely a front runner when it comes to the winner of this match, but it seems that there will be many other names to be added to the match which could include Hardy's old foe, Bray Wyatt.

The match hasn't done much for stars in recent years but hopefully, this year will be different and there will be an added stipulation to make it worth winning.
