WWE News: Matt Hardy debuts new theme music on Raw
What's the story?
Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff returned to WWE at last year's Wrestlemania show. Since their return, they used the traditional Team Extreme music and did not use their music from Impact Wrestling.
Matt's new 'Broken' gimmick had seen him change his entire wrestling gimmick, along with his theme song. On this week's Monday Night Raw, Matt finally moved away from his old Team Extreme Music, to something more similar to what he had during his time at Impact.
In case you didn't know...
Recent weeks have seen Matt Hardy embroiled in a feud with 'The Eater of Worlds' Bray Wyatt. His loss to Wyatt in a match on Raw saw the return on his 'Broken' gimmick in a new 'Woken' form.
Jeff's injury had seen Matt forced to wrestle in single's competition. Matt's singles run saw WWE give Matt the go-ahead to transition to his 'Woken' gimmick. Over the last few weeks, Matt and Bray continued to face each other in promos, with Matt in his new 'Woken' persona.
The heart of the matter
This week's Monday Night Raw saw Matt Hardy step into a ring for the first time since he debuted his new gimmick when he faced Curtis Axel. When Hardy made his way to the ring, it was with a new entrance theme, which was similar to the music he used when he wrestled on Impact Wrestling.
Hardy only recently won back the rights to his gimmick from Impact Wrestling. His entrance now had the Piano Music which was very similar to his previous theme as well. Matt had first shown his new music on a house show.
Matt is set to continue his feud with Bray Wyatt on Raw. With his participation announced for the Royal Rumble match, he may meet Bray during the match.
Matt and Bray's feud is the perfect way for WWE to debut his gimmick. Matt's new entrance theme adds something extra to his gimmick.
