What’s the story?

Matt Hardy has taken to social media so as to introduce the Broken/Woken Universe and the WWE Universe to one another.

Hardy referenced several essential parts of the Broken/Woken Universe, however, has seemingly refrained from addressing “Brother Nero” aka Jeff Hardy.

In case you didn’t know…

Matt Hardy’s Broken gimmick was wildly popular in 2016 and widely regarded as one of, if not the, best gimmicks of the year.

Matt & Jeff Hardy returned to the WWE in mid-2017, with the former being embroiled in a legal battle over the Intellectual Property (IP) rights to the Broken gimmick with Impact Wrestling parent-company Anthem, for most of 2017.

The heart of the matter

With the dispute recently being settled, Matt Hardy owns the IP rights to the said gimmick.

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Hardy is set to introduce several notable elements of the Broken Universe to the WWE on RAW very soon.

In fact, although Hardy didn’t specifically acknowledge Vanguard 1 (his drone) and Skarsgard (the dilapidated boat) both elements of the Broken Universe did appear in a vignette which aired on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Furthermore, Matt Hardy has now taken to his official Twitter account; asserting that it’s time to convoke his trusted platoon—introducing Queen Rebecca (his wife Reby Hardy), Senor Benjamin (his father-in-law), King Maxel (Matt’s son Maxel Hardy), Lord Wolfgang (Matt’s younger son Wolfgang Xander Hardy), as well as Vanguard 1 and Skarsgard.

What’s next?

Matt Hardy is set to continue his feud with Bray Wyatt in the weeks to come on Monday Night RAW.

The feud is set to culminate in an “Ultimate Deletion” Match between Hardy and Wyatt at WrestleMania 34 on April 8th.

Author’s take

Matt Hardy is a man of his word, and he’d, in fact, promised the WWE Universe to surely bring the Broken Universe to the millions and millions of WWE fans.

Well, here it is. Hardy’s commitment and passion for the gimmick is what makes the entire Broken/Woken Universe experience all the more fun.

Intriguingly, the only key element missing in the equation seems to be Brother Nero—someone whom the WWE Universe eagerly awaits.
