What's the story?

They've only been a tag-team for a day or so but Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami have wasted no time in calling out their competition on WWE 205 Live, with Tozawa taking to Instagram to highlight how they're better than LUCHA.

WE better than LUCHA.

In case you didn't know...

We've seen the three masked luchadors of 205 LIVE, Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik coming together over the last few weeks with the three now often working as a trio and supporting Kalisto in his Cruiserweight Title Tournament Quarter Final.

The heart of the matter

It seems that we're already getting close to seeing the newly minted team of Itami and Tozawa take on two out of the three masked Cruiserweights and it's going to be a glorious, glorious match.

With two teams now part of 205 LIVE it seems that the division is gearing towards adding more teams and having a clear-cut tag-team division. Could the speculation of Cruiserweight Tag Titles be more than just speculation? Especially with belt designs leaking on the internet.

What's next?

With the tag-titles for the Cruiserweights reportedly coming after WrestleMania we'll have to wait and see how 205 LIVE continues to build up the division and whether or not they continue to pair Cruiserweights together.

As for Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa, they looked incredibly polished and crisp in their first outing as tag-team partners, hitting some excellent tag-team striking moves. I have my fingers crossed that they do well as tag-team partners because heaven knows both men need something.

Author's take

I'm all for 205 LIVE adding a secondary belt and the division starting to build feuds between tag-teams like Itami and Tozawa and the Luchadors. This is a great way to focus on the strengths of 205 LIVE (actual wrestling) and give more Superstars something to aim for.
