In a recent Facebook Q&A session with Redbook Magazine, WWE Superstar Nikki Bella discussed her wedding with John Cena and suggested that it may be shown on TV.
In case you didn’t know…
John Cena and Nikki Bella teamed up to take on The Miz and Maryse in an inter-gender tag team match at WrestleMania 33. They won the match by pinfall after both Cena and Nikki delivered their finishing moves simultaneously.
Once the match was over, ‘The Cenation Leader’ took the mic, got on one knee and asked Bella if she would marry him, to which she said yes. The couple is currently assigned to SmackDown Live but hasn't made an appearance since WM 33.
The heart of the matter
According to Nikki Bella, she doesn’t want her wedding to happen too quickly and wants to do it when she and Cena are not tired due to their work engagements. ‘The Fearless One’ claimed that both of them want to be rested before going into such an intimate ceremony. Here’s what she said:
“The one thing that I do know is that I don’t want it to be quick - not have a long engagement, but I just really want it to be a time when John and I aren’t doing anything, not going into our wedding tired because we just had crazy events, he was filming a movie or on the road for WWE. I really want us to be rested and go into like this intimate ceremony.”
Nikki added that she is looking at a few dates for the wedding but hasn’t made up her mind yet. She did, however, drop a hint that it may happen on their TV show, Total Bellas. The 2-time Divas champion told Redbook Magazine this:
“We don’t know a date. There’s a few that I’m looking at, but I’m not gonna say which days yet. And [it’s] more than likely [that] you’re gonna see it on TV - I’ll give you that hint... on Total Bellas, I think so, yes.”
What next?
Both Nikki Bella and John Cena have currently taken time off from wrestling and are certainly not returning to action anytime soon.

While it wouldn’t be a surprise if the wedding does end up on Total Bellas, it’s likely that they will wait, given the couples’ hectic schedule outside the WWE.
