WWE News: Nikki Cross says goodbye to NXT

NXT's Twisted Sister has left NXT
NXT's Twisted Sister has left NXT

What's the story?

Nikki Cross is one of the several talents joining the main roster in 2019. Her final night on NXT featured a match between her and longtime rival Bianca Belair.

In case you didn't know...

Last month, the WWE revealed that several NXT Superstars would be making the leap to the main roster. Lars Sullivan was the first one announced, with a vignette of Sullivan playing at WWE TLC.

Later on, it was announced that Heavy Machinery, EC3, Lacey Evans, and Nikki Cross would also be joining the roster. Since then, we've seen multiple vignettes of each superstar, showing the WWE Universe what they can expect from them all.

Unlike the rest of these talents, Nikki Cross has already made her main roster debut, facing Becky Lynch earlier in 2018 when the WWE was on their UK tour. That was only a one-off however, and she was soon back down in NXT.

However, this call-up is the real deal, and Cross finished up with NXT tonight.

The heart of the matter

Nikki Cross faced Bianca Belair in her final NXT match tonight. It was a great back and forth bout, and though Cross seemed to have won on multiple occasions, Belair ended up with her hand held high after beating Cross with the K.O.D.

After the show, Cross took to Twitter to thank the roster and the fans. Cross finished by saying,

"This isn't goodbye...we caused far too much mischief and had too much fun doing it for this to be it..."

Cross's tweet also showed highlights of her time in NXT.

What's next?

Cross will debut on the main roster very soon. As to when that is, we don't know. EC3 and Lacey Evans were the first of the group to actually make their first main roster appearances this year, competing in matches on WWE Main Event. Hopefully, we'll see Cross return to SmackDown to continue a program with Becky Lynch.
