What’s the story?

Tomasso Ciampa has been undoubtedly one of WWE's biggest heels over the past year or so, attacking Johnny Gargano on numerous occasions, turning on him as a friend and also costing him his NXT career - and even mocking Johnny Wrestling on Twitter.

Well, now Ciampa is getting under the skin of some WWE Legends by mocking their podcasts - and Y2J didn't take too kindly to it.

In case you didn’t know…

It looks like we may see Chris Jericho back in WWE soon, after he confirmed today that he's done with NJPW.

Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.

No matter where Jericho is or what he does, though, he releases an episode of Talk Is Jericho twice a week and it's something Y2J speaks very proudly of.

The heart of the matter

Tomasso Ciampa sent out a unique tweet earlier to celebrate the 13th anniversary of his WWE "debut" where he was Chokeslammed by The Undertaker.

Ciampa's new gimmick is tweeting at people without the usual convention of tagging them, instead using "at" instead of the '@' symbol. Tonight, Edge was the target.

After the Rated-R Superstar liked his tweet, Ciampa said he has zero interest in helping podcasters draw listeners - even mocking Edge and Christian's claims of "strapping the rocket" to Superstars whose careers take off. One recent Superstar who E&C strapped the rocket to was Johnny Gargano.

Well, Ciampa may have gotten more than he bargained for, as another famous WWE Superstar turned podcaster commented - Chris Jericho.

Jericho even took a shot at Ciampa being in NXT and not the main roster and said he has no interest in having Ciampa as a guest on his Talk is Jericho podcast.

What’s next?

All eyes on Twitter for Ciampa's reply!

And I guess we'll see if Jericho addresses it on the next Talk Is Jericho.

Author’s take

Quite frankly, I love this. Both these guys are incredible Twitter trolls and this could set up some great back and forth interactions. It's always impossible to tell whether Jericho is being serious or not, too, which only makes it even better.

I can't wait to see how this one plays out!
