WWE News: NXT star uses Chris Jericho's move, Jericho reacts

Chris Jericho's response was quite interesting, to say the very least

What's the story?

Long before he was 'Y2J', 'The Ayatollah of Rock n' Rolla' or 'The Alpha of Professional Wrestling', Chris Jericho was 'Lionheart'. He would put away his opponents with a move called the Lion Tamer, one that he has rarely used in WWE.

Roderick Strong performed the move recently, at an NXT Live Event. Chris Jericho would see the same and respond, as only he can!

In case you didn't know...

To a complete novice, the descriptions of The Liontamer and the Walls of Jericho may sound much the same. Jericho sits down much deeper for the Walls of Jericho though, than he did during his WCW and ECW runs.

Roderick Strong is a really strong babyface who has been setting all of NXT on fire. While he's known primarily for his backbreakers, it seems like he's been expanding his arsenal.

The heart of the matter

Chris Jericho's comment is very much in character and we are certain that he does not look down upon NXT, much like he's implied here.

One may even be compelled to believe that he was going down there, to shoot an angle with The Messiah of the Backbreaker.

After all, Chris Jericho is a storehouse of surprises and you never know what he may be up to next, at all.

Imagine Roderick Strong vs. Chris Jericho at an NXT Takeover Event, as some are speculating on Twitter already.

What's next?

Roderick Strong will be an integral component of NXT until he is called up. Chris Jericho is making waves in NJPW and making music with Fozzy. It is unclear if their worlds will ever meet at all.

Author's take

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I can't foresee anything coming out of this Twitter scenario, quite honestly. It's just an example of Jericho staying in character all the time.

As for Roderick Strong, there's probably nobody in professional wrestling who can turn up the intensity like he can, when he's on fire!
