What’s the story?
After announcing her official retirement from Pro Wrestling last night on Monday Night Raw, former WWE Divas Champion Paige took it to Twitter earlier and showed her gratitude towards everyone who has supported her with the overwhelming response.
In case you didn’t know…
Paige made her WWE debut in 2011 as part of the company's developmental promotion of FCW. Shortly afterward, Paige would go on to make her debut for the rebranded NXT where she would create history by becoming the first ever WWE NXT Women's Champion.
Upon her call-up to the main roster in 2014, Paige would go on to capture the WWE Divas Title on her first night on the main roster making her the youngest Divas Champion in history at the age of 21, the first superstar to win the title in her debut match and the only woman to hold both the Divas and the NXT Women's Championships at the same time.
The heart of the matter
Following the announcement of Paige’s official retirement from Pro Wrestling last night in New Orleans, several superstars involved with the Pro Wrestling industry came together in order to show their immense support towards the former Divas and NXT Women’s Champion.
After confirming her retirement on Raw, Paige took to social media in order to respond to the outpouring support she has been receiving from all her fans and fellow superstars. The 25-year-old wrote in a recent tweet that she is completely overwhelmed with the love and support and noted that the immense amount of encouragement that has been shown by everyone around her certainly means a lot to her. Eventually, Paige also wrote that this definitely isn’t the end for her and is just the beginning.
What’s next?
It has now been confirmed that this week’s edition of Raw was indeed the very last time we had the chance of witnessing Paige on WWE TV and it has also been noted that the former NXT Women’s Champion will now look to focus on her acting career and WWE’s reality TV series, Total Divas.

It is certainly never easy to see a superstar retire from the Pro Wrestling industry at such a young age and personally, I wish Paige the best in her future and also hope that maybe sometime down the road, she gets to pull off a miracle like Daniel Bryan and gets to make her return to the ring.
