What's the story?

Paige appeared on Lilian Garcia's podcast recently and was able to talk about the past 15 months of her life, even though it made the former WWE Divas Champion emotional to get this off her chest.

Paige revealed that WWE has supported her every step of the way and that Stephanie McMahon even gave her a message ahead of her return three weeks ago.

In case you didn't know...

Paige has had the worst 15 months of her career ever since her first suspension back in August 2016, but even though there were rumours that Paige was set to be released by WWE and the only reason she remained with the company was because a movie about her life was in post-production, it seems that this wasn't the case.

Paige has been able to overcome two WWE suspensions, neck surgery, a hacking scandal and a very public relationship with former World Champion Alberto Del Rio over the past years and it seems that there was a number of times when it became too much for the former Champion.

Despite this, it seems that WWE has supported her and helped her return to the company recently as well, where she has been able to pick up where she left off in the Raw Women's Divison.

The heart of the matter

Paige appeared on former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast where she talked about the fact that WWE had always been in the background throughout some of the lowest points of the last year.

She revealed that she wasn't mad about WWE suspending her since it was something that needed to happen at the time. She said the company loves her and are still helping her even though she has returned to the company she is continuing therapy. She said that the experience has allowed her to realize how much WWE has helped her as well as adding that they’ve always stuck with her. She also talked about how WWE’s Mark Carrano helped her every day and called her every day to check in.

Paige then talked about Stephanie McMahon, someone who doesn't have the best reputation amongst the WWE Universe, but it seems that even the boss's daughter has supported Paige and even made an effort to approach the former NXT Women's Champion when she returned to the company and whispered “You are gonna be fine. This is your house.”

This was exactly what Paige needed to hear and it seems that Stephanie has always inspired her and now given her the stage to help other women who have been through the same process.

What's next?

Paige always had a support network and sometimes this is all someone in her position needs to help them overcome the worst of their issues.

Paige has come a long way since the dark days following the hacking scandal and it seems that the British star will use all of the emotions she has bottled up over the past few months to ensure that she becomes one of the stars of the current Women's Evolution.

Authors take

Stephanie McMahon is someone who has always looked after the women in the locker room and it's great to see that she is stepping in to ensure Paige is ok after everything she's been through. Sometimes it only takes a few kind words to help someone feel so much better and it seems that Steph did that for Paige.

Hopefully, Paige can repay WWE now by concentrating on her career and becoming the star that they know she is.
