WWE News: Paige's father responds to her WWE return
What’s the story?
Paige’s father, Ricky Knight, recently tweeted about his daughter's return to the WWE and stated that he's proud of his daughter’s amazing recovery and return to the WWE.
Knight expressed his feelings via a post that he made on his official Twitter handle.
In case you didn’t know…
On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, former WWE Divas Champion, Paige, made her return to the company after an absence of almost one year.
The 25-year-old made her return in a shocking manner when she decided to attack the top women of the Raw Women’s division including Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss.
However, upon her return, Paige decided to bring along some friends from NXT, in Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, who helped their former Tough Enough coach in assaulting the Raw Women’s division. This brutal assault also meant that the three ladies had formed the newest heel faction in the WWE.
The heart of the matter
Following his daughter’s return to the WWE, Ricky Knight took to his Twitter account and claimed that he is proud of his daughter for fighting back from a year of injury and massive problems.
Knight also said that he is proud of the fact that he will be once again able to watch his daughter on TV and claimed that he had tears on his eyes when Paige made her return to the WWE.
Paige’s dad also admitted that he was massively proud of his daughter and also thanked the WWE for sticking by his daughter’s side and supporting her through the tough times.
Paige certainly made her presence felt once again by her tremendous return to Vince McMahon’s promotion. She will now look to dominate the Raw Women’s division by leading her new faction that also comprises of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
Paige’s attack on Alexa Bliss was also a huge statement and it might have indicated towards the possibility that the former NXT Women’s Champion might be coming after the Raw Women’s Title.
I think Paige has done tremendously well in turning her life around and it is great to see her fit and healthy once again. She will surely be one of the top female Superstars in the WWE now and I’m hoping that WWE books her and her newly-formed faction in the right direction.
I also believe that the British Superstar will soon enter the Raw Women’s Title picture and might also dethrone Alexa Bliss off the top.
