WWE News: Paul Heyman says if Brock leaves, he leaves with him

Paul Heyman confirmed when Brock's contract ends

What's the story?

Brock Lesnar's contract has been the talk of the WWE Universe for weeks if not months now, with a move back to UFC seemingly inevitable whether he stays or goes - but what of the future of his advocate?

Paul Heyman confirmed the end of Brock Lesnar's contract - and said it's a package deal. Either both men stay in WWE or neither of them does.

In case you didn't know...

Well, there's been a lot of talks recently that Brock Lesnar is returning to UFC, but many thought Heyman may stay back and pair up with either Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey or Asuka.

Paul Heyman has most recently been exclusive to Brock Lesnar, but he's also managed CM Punk and even Steve Austin and The Undertaker in their earliest days.

The heart of the matter

As per Cageside Seats, during Heyman's show last night to kick off WrestleMania weekend, the advocate for the Universal Champion spoke very candidly about his future.

During his The Advocate of Extreme: An Evening With Paul Heyman show, the genius behind ECW said.

Brock Lesnar’s contract ends this Sunday night. If he leaves, I leave with him. It doesn’t mean that something may not come up in the future that would entice me to come back and do something. I don’t see anybody on the male roster that I would have the same chemistry with, put together the same body of work with, have the same impact and do what I’ve done with Brock since 2002. It just doesn’t exist.

What's next?

Paul Heyman will accompany Brock Lesnar to the ring for what may be the last time - at least for a very long time if Lesnar and WWE can't come to a deal - when Roman Reigns challenges The Beast for the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 34.

Author's take

Personally, I think Paul Heyman is potentially a bigger loss to WWE than Brock Lesnar. Lesnar would not be as effective in WWE without Heyman, but Heyman could definitely thrive in WWE with almost any talent alongside him.

I really hope Heyman stays, with or without Brock, and continues to cut the best promos in the business, as he has for several years!
