WWE News: Paul Heyman tells us what makes Roman Reigns so similar to Brock Lesnar

What's the story?

Ace advocate Paul Heyman was recently interviewed by Nola.com, and he brought up an interesting point like he almost always does. He pointed out a similarity between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, that is not being advertised leading up to their match.

This is, of course, the fact that both these men have defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania, the WWE icon's 'yard'. We thank Cageside Seats for the transcript.

In case you didn't know...

At WrestleMania XXX, the world watched dumbfounded as Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker's win streak. At WrestleMania XXXIII, Roman Reigns replicated the feat, as he left a battered Undertaker in the middle of the ring, seemingly retiring the Dead Man.

This year, Roman Reigns will challenge Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for the Championship he's held since WrestleMania last year. The Undertaker too will supposedly make his return this year, to face John Cena.

The heart of the matter

According to Heyman, one factor that's been downplayed is that both of these men defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania, something that was believed to be an 'unattainable goal', in his words:

Having the only two people in history to have accomplished that task face off against each other truly lets you understand the enormity of this main event this year at WrestleMania.

As one would expect, Heyman was firmly behind his client, with regard to this massive match:

It’s Brock Lesnar’s time. Brock Lesnar will be the Universal champion as long as he feels like being the Universal champion. And there’s nothing Roman Reigns can do to change that equation.

What's next?

We all know how this goes. Roman Reigns will defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34. The Beast will either stay on or move on to other projects.
