WWE News: Potential Spoiler for Raw next week

WWE may not be done with The Shield just yet

What's the story?

The Shield gave their farewell address on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, but the group may not be disbanded just yet.

A local advertisement in Chicago, the host of Raw next week, showed that The Shield will battle Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley in a rematch from Fastlane.

In case you didn't know

The Shield reunited on the Raw before Fastlane when Roman Reigns asked Seth Rollins to put his differences with Dean Ambrose aside so the group could reunite one last time.

Ambrose eventually joined his Shield brethern and the group defeated Corbin and his allies in the main event of Fastlane with their signature Triple Powerbomb.

The heart of the matter

The advertisement in question aired during SmackDown Live's commercial break and hyped the return of Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar along with the six-man tag team match.

WWE has a tendency to change matches at random times, but matches seen on local advertisements are usually the most likely to change.

Raw previously advertised matches between Braun Strowman and Corbin along with a six-man tag team match where Ambrose was still aligned with McIntyre and Corbin for the show in the Chicagoland area, but none of these feuds and alliances have lasted.

The Allstate Arena currently has a tag team match announced with Rollins and Ambrose against Corbin and McIntyre and another Intercontinental Championship match between Finn Balor and Lashley, but plans may change.

What's next?

Lesnar's return to the show next week means that Rollins will likely spend most of the episode fixating on his opponent for WrestleMania 35, which could mean that this advertised match won't air on TV.

Rollins and Lesnar have not crossed paths since the Raw after the Royal Rumble, so The Architect of The Shield will need to interact with the Universal Champion to get some heat on his upcoming title match.
