WWE News: Reason behind WWE taping NXT outside Full Sail University in 2018

What’s the story?

During a recent media conference call, Triple H revealed the reason why WWE will be taping NXT outside Full Sail University early next year.

Triple H revealed that NXT tapings in the first quarter next year will be held at the Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia and not the Full Sail University in Florida. It’ll be so in the first few months of 2018, owing to lack of availability at the University during that time.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE has been taping content for its NXT brand at the Full Sail University in Florida for quite some time now.

However, it’s now being revealed that owing to differences in the scheduling and availability, WWE won’t be able to hold NXT tapings at the aforementioned venue in the first quarter of next year.

The heart of the matter

The WWE‘s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque said that NXT will indeed be taping several weeks’ worth at the Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia on January 4th and February 1st & 2nd.

Nevertheless, it was also noted that NXT will once again return to the Full Sail University after the aforementioned set of tapings.

Furthermore, industry experts believe that the NXT content taped in Atlanta will cover episodes spanning days after Wrestlemania or until just before the show of shows.

Hence, it’s being noted that the match card for the NXT Takeover during ‘Mania weekend will pretty much be finalized by February 2nd.

NXT has a new champion ergo Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas as the company plans to prominently feature a feud between Cien and the Undisputed Era’s Adam Cole.

NXT is bound to succeed irrespective of where WWE may choose to schedule the tapings.

Given the wild event that was NXT Takeover: WarGames, fans can expect a ton of action in the WWE’s yellow brand over the next few months with the action coming to a final crescendo during Wrestlemania 34 weekend.
