WWE News: Ric Flair and WWE Agree on New Contract

"The Nature Boy" is all set to stay with the WWE.

Flair made his first appearance in the WWE after 7 months.

According to PWInsider, The “Nature Boy” Ric Flair has penned down a brand new contract with the WWE. Sources also report that the signing was done hours before the airing of Monday Night RAW.

The two-time WWE Hall Of Famer returned to TV on this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW after the main event, which saw Sasha Banks defeat Charlotte to become a three-time Women’s Champion. Flair made his way to the ring to acknowledge Sasha Banks on her victory, by raising her hand in front of Flair’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

There is no word on what role will Flair have in the WWE, but it seems that he will be a regular character on RAW from now on. As previously reported, WWE might be on the road to turn Sasha heel, and we might witness a heel Sasha, with Flair by her side in the near future.

Before this, Flair was regularly used as an on-screen character, helping his daughter, Charlotte, reclaim the championship on numerous occasions. Flair’s last appearance came during the May 23rd edition of RAW where Flair was disowned by Charlotte, thereby cementing her heel run.

During his time away from the WWE, Flair started hosting “The Ric Flair Show” on MLW Radio, the status of the show is unknown as of currently. He was also the host of the podcast “WOOOO! Nation“, which ran from May 2015- April 2016.

With the return of Flair on Sasha’s side, it would be interesting to see how the women’s division moves further. Flair has gathered the reputation of betraying his partners, and the possibility of him turning on Banks after gaining her trust is also possible.
