What's the story?

WWE's Ric Flair recently was interviewed by The Sun in the United Kingdom. In the interview, a variety of topics were discussed. One noteworthy topic was whether Ric thought The Undertaker would ever wrestle again.

In case you didn't know...

Ric Flair and The Undertaker have WrestleMania history. They have squared off in a no disqualification match at WrestleMania X8. Flair was the 10th victim of The Undertaker at WrestleMania in 2002.

Famously known as The Streak, Undertaker won 21-straight WrestleMania matches before losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX.

The heart of the matter

In the interview, Flair stated that he stays in close contact with The Undertaker and that he is in great shape. Flair even went as far to say that Taker's health is at 100%.

Regarding The Undertaker making a return to the ring at WrestleMania, Flair believes that he'll have a match this year in New Orleans.

"If I were to guess about him having another match at WrestleMania this year, I'd say yes."

Earlier this month, Sportskeeda reported on the rumor of The Undertaker's opponent at WrestleMania 34 being none other than John Cena.

What's next?

The special Raw 25 episode of Monday Night Raw is just hours away. The WWE has announced that The Undertaker will make his first appearance on WWE television since WrestleMania 33 on Monday night, potentially to start the feud with John Cena.

Author's take

Back in April when my 'Lost In The Midcard' podcast did our WrestleMania post-show, I stated that I felt like this wasn't the end for The Undertaker. I feel like the end of WrestleMania was done just in case something happened to where it was the end for Taker.

For me personally, I would have loved The Undertaker to face Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match to avenge his only two WrestleMania losses. However, The Undertaker will most likely go out looking up at the lights and not out on top when it is truly time for his final match.
