WWE News: Ric Flair present backstage at SmackDown Live

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is reportedly backstage at tonight's SmackDown Live event at Charlotte, North Carolina by PWInsider. According to the report, this is only the second time that Flair has been backstage at a WWE Event since his illness this summer. He was also backstage for last night's Monday Night Raw at Atlanta where he resides.

In case you didn't know...

Ric Flair was taken seriously ill earlier in the year, and his condition got worse until it was a huge cause for concern for the entire wrestling community. Thankfully he was able to recover in typical Flair manner and announced news about his recovery in the video where he said 'I ain't dead yet motherf*****s'.

The last time he was at a WWE event was the last time that WWE was in Charlotte, NC.

The heart of the matter

Ric Flair is reported to be backstage at tonight's SmackDown Live. His presence backstage may have implications for the results of the SmackDown Live show.

Charlotte is scheduled to face Natalya on SmackDown Live for the WWE SmackDown Women's title. With her father backstage, this may mean that she will emerge victorious from the match. Ric Flair may be backstage to observe her victory against Natalya and for her to win the SmackDown Live Women's Title for the first time in her career.

Charlotte has been unable to emerge as the champion of SmackDown Live despite her success on Raw.

The Women's Champion vs Champion match is set for Survivor Series. Ric Flair may be able to make an on-screen return to WWE soon.
