What's the story?

WWE SmackDown Live's newest recruit, Roman Reigns, gave an exclusive interview post his shocking move to the blue brand.

Reigns stated that there wouldn't have been a better way for him to switch to Tuesday nights than by punching the boss' jaw loose.

In case you didn't know...

After the Monday night edition of the Superstar Shake-up was done and dusted with, WWE made a huge announcement on its official website. According to the breaking news, Vince McMahon was going to reveal "the biggest acquisition in the history of SmackDown Live".

Although McMahon swerved the crowd at first by introducing Elias, Roman Reigns was quick to come out and deliver two thunderous Superman Punches to both men. Reigns was also featured in a dark match that took place after the show went off the air. The bout finished in a peculiar fashion, leaving the live crowd confused.

Reigns gave a quick backstage interview after the show, sharing his thoughts on this shocking revelation. The Big Dog stated that it has been a long time since he was on SmackDown Live, and has always put his focus on Monday Night Raw.

Reigns added that punching Vince McMahon was the best way to make an impact and send a message to the SmackDown Live roster.

I haven't been a part of this show and this program for a while. I've been on RAW, I've always focused on RAW.
So, I think if you're going to move me to SmackDown, you gotta do it in the biggest fashion possible, so what better way than to come in and punch the boss' jaw loose. To be able to just dive right back in the deep end and swim with the sharks is nice.

What's next?

Roman Reigns' move to SmackDown has been one of the best decisions WWE has taken in recent memory. The Big Dog would have gotten booed the moment he challenged Seth Rollins for the Universal Title. Hopefully, he goes on to become a mainstay on the blue show for a long time to come.
