What's the story?
SmackDown Live Superstar Roman Reigns was interviewed backstage after his squash win over Elias.
Reigns stated that he wasn't satisfied with his match at all and added that Elias made the wrong choice by "pulling the trigger earlier".
In case you didn't know...
This year's WWE Superstar Shakeup saw Roman Reigns arrive on the blue brand. Reigns immediately made his presence felt on the show, and proceeded to deliver two thunderous Superman Punches on Elias and Mr. McMahon.
This didn't sit well with the McMahon family, and Reigns was attacked by Shane McMahon and Elias on more than one occasion as we headed towards Money In The Bank.

The heart of the matter
Tonight, Reigns was attacked by Elias before their match, in a backstage area. The guitar-clad villain headed to the ring and played a song on his electric guitar. As Elias was leaving, Reigns came out of nowhere and hit a Superman Punch. He then brought him to the ring and hit a Spear as soon as the bell rang. The match was over in a matter of seconds.
After all was said and done, Roman Reigns spoke to Cathy Kelley on his victory over Elias. When Kelley asked Reigns how satisfying was it for him to get a quick win over Elias, he responded by saying that he wasn't too thrilled with how things turned out.
He added that he was all set to give an amazing match to the live audience, and it would have been a great opportunity for Elias to get a rub from him, but he made a wrong choice and decided to attack him backstage.
Considering I've been here for a long time, I'm an established Superstar, it would've been a great opportunity for a guy like Elias, to be in the ring with me and to feel like top competition feels like, what a championship fight feels like. But he made the wrong choice and he pulled the trigger earlier, therefore I pulled it late. That's why I'm standing here.

With how things played out tonight, one hopes that the rivalry between these two Superstars is over and Reigns can move on to another feud.
